SCR General Manager stresses on cleanliness
Secunderabad: Vinod Kumar Yadav, General Manager, SCR stressed up on the importance of cleanliness of trains and railway stations. He conducted a review on cleanliness, punctuality and freight loading on Monday. Principal Heads of departments and Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) of all six divisions i.e. Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Guntakal, Guntur and Nanded interacted through video conference.
Vinod Kumar Yadav indicated officials to take appropriate measures to improve cleanliness in all the Trains. He advised to ensure supply of quality linen and adequate supply of water in the coaches. He instructed the officials to conduct on board surprise inspections over the zone focusing on the activities of “On Board House Keeping Services” (OBHS) to improve cleanliness.
The General Manager reviewed signal failures and other safety related issues. He also reviewed the works related to Unmanned Level Crossings (UMLCs) etc. He also discussed on the Punctuality and advised all the Divisional Railway Managers to monitor it personally and draw an action plan to attain optimal punctuality duly ensuring safe working. Speaking on the freight loading he instructed the officials to monitor the coal supply movement to the power houses and to ensure adequate the supply of coal.
