Road expansion oustees demand compensation

Suryapet: Demanding same compensation to all oustees of Suryapet- Khammam  road expansion, the affected people staged protest on Suryapet- Danthalapally road at Illapuram village of Suryapet mandal in the district on Thursday.

The protestors said villagers of B Chandupatla, Vatti Khammam Pahad, Akkaladevi Gudem, Rollabanda thanda, Gayamvari Gudem and Illapuram of Suryapet mandal are losing their lands Surypet to Khammam road expantion works.

Expressing their concern over official discrimination, they demanded similar compensation of Rs 24 akh per acre on par with oustees of Pilllalamarri village of same mandal. On information, police rushed to the spot and arrested the protestors to clear the traffic.
