Musheerabad: GHMC standing committee member and corporator V Srinivas Reddy alleged that BJP activists led by K Aruna threatened contractor Vamshi Reddy to stop the works of BT road that was being laid from Ramnagar market to post office with an estimated cost of Rs 80 lakh. He said that he had inaugurated the construction works on Friday night and next day BJP leaders threatened the contractor of the works. The contractor informed the corporator about the incident.

Protesting against the stalling of works, Srinivas Reddy along with his followers took a rally from Ramnagar market to Chikkadpally PS and handed over a written complaint to ACP Narsimha Reddy.  Speaking on the occasion, he said that development activities were being stalled by BJP with selfish interests. BJP would be taught a lesson if they try to stall any development activities, he warned.  Among those present on the occasion include Sirigiri Shyam, minority leaders MA Wahid Ali, M  Murali, G Suryanarayana, Khadeer, Shivkumar and others.
