Chief Archaka stages sit-in protest

Moulali: Chief Archaka of Sri Sankata Mochana Anjaneya Swamy Temple, Gayatrinagar, Mohana Chary, who has been working for the last 30 years, staged a sit-in protest on the premises accusing the committee members of trying to remove him from the post, on basis of ‘wrong’ allegations.

Chary stated that the temple committee members, who assumed office two years back, were levelling ‘baseless’ charges against him. The chief archaka claimed that he had been working for temple’s development and had nothing to do with the ‘Hundi’ and the pooja collections. He asserted that devotees were depositing their offerings in the Hundi, while appealing to the media to conduct an inquiry, through CC cameras, and render justice to him. A devotee, Indira, extended support to Chary.
