Dental health camp held for jail inmates

Chanchalguda: The Government Dental College and Hospital, Afzalgunj, on Monday conducted Dental Health camp for the inmates of Central Prison, Chanchalguda. Dr S Jagadishwar Rao, Associate Professor, along with his team was assigned to screen the prisoner’s dental health. A total of 147 inmates were screened and it was decided to conduct the dental camp twice a month. 

The Superintendent of Prisons, K Arjuna Rao, appreciated the efforts of Dr S Jagadishwar Rao and team of Doctors of Government Dental College and Hospital in organising this medical camp. He said that this Dental Health camp has eased the problem of ‘escorting huge numbers of prisoners’ to specialised hospitals outside the prison. Dr D Srinivas, P Saibaba, Deputy Superintendents of Prisons, Dr Syed Pasha, Medical Officer, Central Prison Hyderabad, A Venkatesham, Jailor, Sadique, Lab Technician and Dr Hari Prasad, Government Dental College and Hospital, took part in the programme.
