DGP prods cops on smooth conduct of polls
Hyderabad: Telangana State DGP M Mahendar Reddy on Thursday visited City Police Commissioner office and held a review meeting with city police. The meeting was held for three hours. All the departments of city police, from SHOs to Commissioner attended the meeting. Since many of the officers have taken charge as SHOs and Additional Inspectors for the first time, DGP briefed them the guidelines to follow for citizen-friendly police.
As the Assembly elections are going to be held in next 40 days, the DGP instructed the officials for the smooth conduct of the elections without any untoward incidents, to work effectively, provide security, to implement the Model Code of Conduct, enforcement drive, binding over of rowdy sheeters and criminals, weapon depositing and the police management system at police stations.
