GHMC chief Dana Kishore suspends AMOH for laxity
Kukatpally: Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Dana Kishore held a meeting at Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) on Friday to review works related to sanitation, health and engineering in Quthbullapur, Kukatpally and Serilingampally areas. During the meeting, the commissioner expressed unhappiness over piling up of garbage at Bharath Nagar Bridge and reprimanded concerned authorities.
He called out Assistant Medical Officer of Health (AMOH) Sampath over the issue and asked him to leave the meeting hall. Later, he ordered suspension of the officer. Earlier, Commissioner held a sudden inspection of various sanitation works and called authorities for a review meeting. He said that the sudden inspection of works was conducted on the eve of ‘Swachh Sarvekshan’. He warned about 930 SFOs of GHMC that negligence would not be tolerated. He instructed them to maintain cleanliness at colonies.
