Upset over hubby’s suicide, woman ends life

Athmakur ( M) ( Yadadri- Bhongir): Following the footsteps of his husband, who had committed suicide over a family dispute, a woman also took the extreme step on Saturday.

The incident took place at Singaram of Ahtmakur ( M) mandal in Yadadri- Bhongir district. The deceased were identified as Bandaru Srinivas Reddy (33) and his wife Aparna (28). They were married one year ago.

According to sources, on Saturday, Srinvas Reddy went to his agriculture field and quarrel took place between him and his parents. Later, he returned home and committed suicide by hanging himself to the ceiling when no one was in the house.  

After hearing the suicide news of her husband,  Aprana came also attempted suicide by consuming pesticide. Alerted family members, shifted her to Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad where she succumb ed on Sunday morning while undergoing treatment at hospital. After postmortem, last rites of couple were performed in Singaram village. The police registered a case and investigating.
