Only KCR cares for women, children: Dr C Laxma Reddy

Mahbubnagar: Going aggressive in his campaigning Health Minister Dr C Laxma Reddy while conducting a whirlwind tour of various rural villages like Cherlapally, Nasurlabad and Nasurlabad Thanda, Tangedipally, Guttakadipally, Nagasala and Kistampally in the Jadcherla constituency on Monday said that except Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, no other leader ever in the past had thought about the welfare of women, young married girls, small children and pregnant women and newborns.

 “It is KCR, the one and only leader in the history of India who has thought about our problems. Women, young girls for marriage, pregnant, new born and old age, farmers and others in the state and accordingly has come up with innovative schemes for their welfare,” said Laxma Reddy.

While addressing a gathering during his campaign, Dr. Reddy enumerated various welfare schemes like KCR kits, Rythu Bandhu, Rythu Bheema, Aasara pensions, Kalyana Laxmi, Shaadi Mubarak, establishment of minority and various Gurukula schools etc and launching major and small lift irrigation projects to make Telangana a Golden Telangana. 

Dr. Reddy questioned the gathering, did anyone ever during the past have anytime though about health problems of women and children? Did anyone think about the marriage of girls in poor families and their financial conditions, did anyone think about the pregnant women and new born? No one had done anything to these sections. It is only KCR who had thought about these people with out of box ideas and launched innovate schemes for their welfare and development.

Criticising the Congress and TDP leaders who had ruled erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, Laxma Reddy said that earlier Chief Ministers had made many promises for the farmers but did nothing for their welfare.  

Enumerating the development programmes during his tenure in Jadcherla mandal, Dr. Reddy said he had constructed many CC roads, drainages, provided drinking water under mission Bhageeratha, laid BT roads to the rural Thandas and villages.

He also urged the public not to entertain opposition parties who have created hurdles in the way of development projects and asked them to teach a lession in the upcoming elections. Dr. Reddy sought peoples support and asked to vote for the Car symbol in the upcoming elections. 

On the occasion, 150 people from Congress and TDP joined TRS party. Major among them are Palem Sudarshan Goud, Kistaram Sarpanch, senior Congress leader and his supporters joined the TRS party.
