TRS will bite the dust: Paripoornananda

Update: 2018-11-06 05:30 IST

Warangal: Sri Peetham Swami Paripoornananda has said the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is all set to end TRS reign in Telangana State. Addressing the party cadre at Gudeppahad in Parkal constituency of Warangal Rural district on Monday, he expressed confidence that BJP will send TRS packing on December 11, the D-day that decides the fate of political parties in Telangana.

“TRS chief K Chandrashekar Rao made tall promises during 2014 elections to clinch power but had come a cropper after his four-and-a-half-year regime,” Swami said, stating that people have noticed the failures of KCR. This will reflect in the upcoming elections, he said, predicting below 20 seats for the TRS. He said that BJP is sure to win 70 seats and take up the reigns of Telangana.

Swami asserted that BJP is the only hope of the people as it could dispense good governance in tune with the people’s aspirations. He said that BJP has dedicated leaders and cadres whose focal point is people’s welfare. The seer-turned-politician revealed his plans to go on Vijayotsava Yatra after the BJP heralds its victory in Telangana. “During Yatra, I will meet the families of Telangana martyrs who laid down their lives for the cause of separate State,” he added.

Even though KCR trumpets that he was giving 24-hour uninterrupted power supply, the credit should go to Prime Minister Narendra Modi because of whom surplus production of electricity is possible. Referring to the Textile Park, Swami said that TRS is not capable of making it possible. It’s possible only by the BJP as the Textile Park needs the patronage of foreign companies, he said. He appealed to people to end the ‘corrupt rule’ of the TRS government. Later, he administered oath to BJP Parkal constituency candidate P Vijaychander Reddy and Bhupalpally nominee Chandupatla Keerthi Reddy to remain non-corrupt.

Later, Swami also participated in the booth-level meeting of BJP activists at Illanda under Wardhannapet constituency. Speaking on the occasion, he accused the TRS party of trying to influence the voters with its money power. “We need a statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who annexed Princely State of Hyderabad into the Indian Union through Operation Polo in 1948,” Swami said. He appealed to people to vote for BJP Wardhannapet candidate Saranga Rao. Senior BJP leaders Edla Ashok Reddy, T Rajeshwar Rao and Vannala Sriramulu were among others present.
