Heera Group victims allege threat to life

Hyderabad: Heera Group Victims Association President Shahbaz Ahmed Khan on Thursday alleged life threat from Heera Group MD Dr Nowhera Shaik. The incident came to light when one person from Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh threatened Shahbaz Ahmed Khan and other victims on social media. In his video message, the accused person showed a rifle and said that he would allegedly use it to kill them and their family members if they did not withdraw the complaint against Nowhera Shaik. The accused also posted the video on YouTube.

Accused Saber Babu Khan made several phone calls and threatened Shahbaz and allegedly told him that he got Rs 5 crore contract to kill him if he does not withdraw cases and stop agitation against Nowhera immediately. It should be mentioned here that Heera Group MD Nowhera Shaik was arrested for allegedly operating a multi crore scam. 

The victim wrote a letter to State Director General of Police (DGP) M Mahendar Reddy asking for adequate security as he was fighting against the Heera Group. He also complained to CCS officials and Humayun Nagar police to investigate into the matter and nab the accused who is threatening him and his family members. The victim earlier also wrote a letter to President Ram Nath Kovind to order a detailed enquiry by the CBI and NIA as the investments into the Heera Group were made by anti-India organisations and people from Pakistan and Gulf. 

The accused in the video claimed to be Nowhera’s son and told her not to worry. He said he entered the Heera Group as one of the investor in 2017. He advised her to strengthen her party from grass root and enrol the party workers in huge way. The video which went viral on social media and YouTube created tension in the families of the victims in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Following the complaint filed by the victim and the video, Telangana Police formed special teams and launched search operations to nab the accused.
