Demand to recall nod for luxury apartments
Rajendranagar: The activists of Save Our Urban Lakes (SOUL) have alleged that the Magic Breeze luxury apartments constructed by Pooja Crafted Homes were inside FTL (Full Tank Level) of Shikam Talab, Neknampur village in Rajendranagar Mandal. The project has now crossed the original built in area, which was granted permission.
In a letter addressed to Union Ministry of Environment, Collector (RR District) and Pollution Control Board of Telangana, the SOUL activists alleged that 'Pooja Crafted Homes obtained environmental clearance for proposed residential complex (with built-up area 51,195.1 Sq.mt) under the banner "Magic Breeze" at Survey Nos. 56, 57 & 60 of Neknampur Village. Now it is proposed to enhance the built-up area of the residential complex from 51,195.1 sqmt to 67,571.18 sqmt. Survey number 57 is FTL of Shikam Talab, survey numbers 56 and 60 are in buffer zone and FTL of the water body respectively.
“We urge and expect you to cancel the environmental clearance promptly and suspend the project. Further, a thorough investigation be held regarding officials involved in giving the clearance and the report be placed before the public as soon as possible,” demanded the SOUL activists, Lubna Sarwath, Sanghamitra and Jasveen Jairath.
