Three-day sports meet for girl students starts today

Nalgonda: The Principal of Social Welfare Residential Degree College for Women of Nalgonda, K Janardhan, has informed that the college would be hosting a three-day TSWRDC - Women State-level sports meet from Friday. 

Speaking to media in his chambers on Thursday, the Principal informed that apart from academic studies, society has been encouraging sports in residential degree colleges for the overall development of students.

As part of third TSWRDC –Women games and sports meet, games including kabaddi, khokho, volleyball, chess and sports including 100 metre, 200-meter long jump, 3 km marathon etc., are going to be conducted at college grounds and MGU Ground located at Anneparthy.

As many as 30  women sportspersons from 30 residential colleges in the State would take part in the three-day meet, he added. Sports Committee members Maruthi Rao, Narender Reddy, Sheshu Kumari and physical directors of various colleges attended the press briefing.
