One dies, several hurt as speeding car runs amok

Hyderabad: A 40-year-old woman died in a road accident at Thumukunta under Shamirpet police station limits on Sunday. The victim was identified as Laxmi Bai belonging to Devarayamjal. According to police, a group of women workers were on their way to work in Alankrutha on Sunday morning when a speeding car hit them from behind.

The deceased died on the spot due to serious injuries and many others sustained injuries. Police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. By filing a case police are investigating.
