RTC staff protest over delay in salaries

 Ranigunj: Protesting against delays in the payment of salaries, RTC employees of the Greater Hyderabad zones, led by TSRTC Employees Union, staged protest here before Ranigunj 1 and 2 depots on Monday. Speaking on the occasion, zonal secretary of EU J Raghavulu said that the payment of salaries to the employees of Greater Hyderabad was delayed even though the employees of the rest of the depots across the state received their payments on March 2. He alleged that the TSRTC is giving step-motherly treatment to the city employees.

Raghavulu called upon the employees to get ready to go for a strike from March 7 if the management fails to pay their salaries on or before March 5. An emergency meeting will be conducted on March 6 by EU to decide further course of action, he said. RTC employees of Ranigunj 1 and 2 depots participated in the protest.
