Mamindla to contest for Karimnagar Graduate MLC seat
Karimnagar: Deputy Transport Commissioner and State president of Telangana State Group-I Officers Association Mamindla Chandrashekar Goud filed his nomination papers for Karimnagar Graduate MLC to contest in the MLC elections, at the Collectorate here on Tuesday.
A native of Rudroor village, for the past two months Goud has been visiting Nizamabad, Karimnagar, Adilabad and Medak district that will fall under Karimnagar Graduate MLC constituency. A few days ago, he resigned from his job, which was immediately accepted by the government.
During the separate Telangana movement, M Chandrashekar Goud, despite holding a high post in the government, extended his support to K Chandrashekar Rao and played a key role in motivating his fellow employees and the people present in Rudroor village.
Since then, Goud became one of the close associates of KCR. Chandrashekar Goud has a strong hold on Nizamabad and Karimnagar districts and actively involved in social service activities and established a voluntary organisation under his father’s name Mamindla Rama Goud, a famous poet. He also strived hard for the formation of Rudroor mandal after State bifurcation.
It is learnt that Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao gave green signal and asked the party leaders to extend support to Goud by participating in his election campaign. More than 200 villagers from Rudroor mandal are also conducting vigorous campaign in support of their childhood friend and urging the voters to cast their valuable vote to Mamindla Chandrashekar Goud for registering victory with bumper majority.
