Adilabad gets 249 constables
Adilabad: With a new batch of constables, who recently completed the nine-month training, joining the district force, the administration will be in a better position to maintain law and order, Superintendent of Police Vishnu S Warrier said.
Giving away appointment orders to the newly-recruited here on Monday, the SP claimed that Telangana police has been in forefront of all other states in the country with the government providing better facilities, training and salaries. “The erstwhile Adilabad district is strengthened by the arrival of 249 constables, including 44 women.
Of the total, 116 are civil constables and rest is armed reserve (AR),” the SP said. Based on marks obtained during the training, the placements will be given to the constables, he said, adding that transfer process will be taken up in a few days in accordance with the instruction of the higher authorities in Hyderabad.
He told the new recruits to work with utmost sincerity implementing what they learned during the nine-month rigorous training. “The first year of duty is crucial for the newly-joined and it would be easy for them once they come through it,” the SP said, advising them to uphold the sanctity of the job. Training centre Additional SP K Mohan and DSP S Balaraju were among others present.
Earlier, the SP, speaking at the public grievance programme, said the administration kept a special focus on those trading gutka and operating matka besides keeping an eye on gambling.
