Nodal officers told to meet targets on toilets construction

Nirmal:  District Collector Prashanti has directed the nodal officers to complete the construction of individual toilets on a war-footing. She reviewed the implementation of Swachh Bharat programme mandal-wise with mandal nodal, mandal praja parishat and DRDA officials at the grievances cell here on Monday. 

She wanted the officials to achieve the targets on a war-footing. The nodal officers should fix targets for various workers executing the works in villages and ensure that the construction of individual sanitary toilets is completed as per the schedule. 

The officials were told to take part in the meetings held on Mondays with their achievements. They were directed to start construction wherever the works haven’t commenced and to obtain sanction of new toilets, wherever their sanction was not granted. 

District Rural Development Agency official Venkateswarlu, agriculture officer Amresh Kumar, assistant project director Sarat, district officers Bhanu Sundar, Sudarsan, Janardhan, Devender, Praneeta and mandal parishad development officers attended the meeting.
