CPI Criticizes Congress for Delaying Telangana Decision and Escalating Tensions

Hyderabad: Referring to the deliberations over Telangana at the Congress Core Committee meeting, the CPI said that the members of the party high command was behaving like 'political criminals' by escalating anxiety levels in the region. According to a press release, the State Secretary Narayana stated this was not the first time the Congress leadership was having deliberations.

The party state incharge who met leaders of both regions, once again met these representatives. He assured that the Core Committee would wind up the matter on July 12 meeting. Digvijay Singh once again was called on by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, Deputy CM, Damodar Rajanarasimha and PCC chief Botcha Satyanarayana. "There are reports that he heard their views with patience. But is it a new news?", he questioned. After listening to everyone the party was killing the time in the name of Congress Working Committee, Naraya na stated. He questioned the logic of the party in heightening the suspense of the issue amongst the ministers on side and Telugu people on the other side. "All this drama appears to for gaining political mileage in view of the elections," he said.
