4 escape with minor injuries in wall collapse in Warangal

Warangal: Four of a family had a miraculous escape when their rented house in Warangal Fort area collapsed in the wee hours of Saturday. The house collapsed due to heavy rains in last few days, it's learnt. Hamsa Srinivas, Lakshmi, and their two children - Neeraja and Mintu - were sleeping in their house, when the ceiling and the wall caved in.

The neighbours noticed the mishap and rescued the family. They pulled the inmates out of the debris and rushed them to the MGM hospital. Although the family is lucky to escape with minor injuries, they were rendered homeless. Srinivas, who works as a mason, owns an old house in the adjacent street but that house was also collapsed recently.

Members of Manamuchatlu, a social service group, gave the family members a bag of rice and other provisions. An auto-rickshaw parked besides the house was completely damaged in the mishap.
