8 cr was drawn to distribute it to voters, charges Talasani
Hyderabad: Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Tuesday stated that withdrawal of Rs 8 crore was a big crime and alleged that this money was to distribute to the voters in the State.
The TRS leader pointed out that the BJP leaders, who talk about going for online transactions withdrew huge amount. "This is nothing but a big crime. This money is for distributing to the voters.
We have doubts that the money was withdrawn to distribute in Secunderabad Lok Sabha segment. We know how much additional money they have withdrawn and where they are going to spend," Srinivas Yadav said.
The TRS leader demanded action against the bank officials for allowing withdrawal of Rs 8 crore. He said that the party has already filed a complaint with the Election Commission and will also bring this to the notice of the RBI.
The money required for public meetings will not cost more than Rs 50 lakh. Prime Minister Narendra Modi who advocates payments through cheques should answer on the issue, he demanded.
The TRS leader alleged that apart from the money, the BJP leaders were distributing voter slips with their party symbol, which was against the rules.
He demanded that the Election Commission take action against the BJP candidate from Secunderabad and also against the bank officials for allowing withdrawal of huge cash.
