Aler: Cops seize 30 bikes, gutka packets during cordon & search

Aler (Yadadri-Bhongir): Yadadri–Bhongir Deputy Commissioner of Police Narayana Reddy stated that police have been conducting cordon and search operations to reduce crimes and to identify the criminals who are escaping from police. On Tuesday, along with three Assistant Commissioners of Police and 120 police personnel including Sub-Inspectors, Assistant Sub-Inspectors, head constables and constables, he conducted a cordon and search operation at Tungtoor village of Aler mandal in the district.

The police seized 30 two-wheelers as the owners failed to produce valid vehicle registration papers, Rs 5,000 worth liquor bottles from belt shops and Rs 3,000 banned gutka packets. They also verified the identity of residents and inquired about the business activities of local traders during the search operation.

Speaking on the occasion, the DCP urged the villagers to inform the police about the crimes and criminals in order to control the law and order in the district. He advised the people to follow traffic rules to avoid accidents and also suggested the motorists to wear helmets while riding on bikes and seat belts while driving cars to save themselves during the accidents. He urged the people to be responsible citizens and make the Yadadri-Bhongir a crime-free district.
