The young woman who raised the pro-Pakistan slogans at a protest event against the CAA held in the auspices of Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi in Bengaluru on Thursday Night was arrested and charged with a sedition case.

The young woman was identified as Amulya Leona who shouted Pakistan Zindabad at the event organised under the banner of Save Constitution. Asaduddin and organizers have tried to stop her from chanting slogans.

However, All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin condemned the issue by stating, "We, in no way, support our enemy nation Pakistan."

Amulya was arrested last evening soon after the event; a sedition case has been filed against her. "We have filed a suo moto case against her under sections 124A(sedition), 153A and B (promoting enmity between different groups) and imputations, assertions prejudicial to national integration)," senior police officer B Ramesh said.

The young woman was denied bail and sent to judicial custody for 14 days while the local court will likely to hear her bail petition on Monday.

On the other hand, all the fingers point to Owaisi over the issue as the BJP leaders are taking a dig at him. However, Owaisi made it clear that he and his party has not connected with it.
