Bhupalpally: Germans practise yoga at Kota Gullu
Bhupalpally: The 13th Century Ganapeshwaralayam, the abode of Lord Shiva, a cluster of 21 sub-temples, also known as Kota Gullu, near Ganapuram village in Jayashankar-Bhupalpally district, was abuzz with 40-odd German nationals practicing Pranique Yoga on Sunday. They are all members of the Sri Sai Pranique Yoga Healing Centres in Germany.
Master Sai Cholleti, the chairman of the centre, who went to Germany and settled there some 29-year-ago, is a native of Narsapur village under Venkatapur mandal. He has been teaching and practicing yoga since he left the country.
Sai said that as part of the training his disciples visit several places in India including temples and historic places to practice yoga in a peaceful ambience. He said that since Warangal has many historic temples and monuments of the Kakatiya era, his German students have come down to see them. His disciples include professors, doctors and engineers etc. The Germans appeared mesmerised by the beauty of the architectural elegance of the temples.
