Burglar nabbed, police recover Rs 25 lakh worth property
Hyderabad: The Chandrayangutta police on Monday nabbed a burglar during patrolling in the area. According to the police, the accused was moving in a suspicious manner near Errakunta X roads on Monday early hours.
He was brought to the Police Station and on enquiry he confessed to have committed nine house burglaries at night in the limits of Chandrayangutta police station.
Police recovered 520 grams gold ornaments, 1,040 grams silver ornaments, one LCD TV and 2000 currency of Saudi Arabia, which was all worth Rs 25 lakh. The accused was identified as Mohammed Sameer (36).
According to City police Commissioner Anjani Kumar, Sameer was earlier arrested by Charminar Police in two-wheeler receiver case. After being released from jail, he had gone to Saudi to work as a driver, but there he faced problems and returned to Hyderabad.
To earn easy money, he planned to commit property offences. He used to commit House breaking offences at night by covering his face with mask.
