Child protection centre unveiled

Vikarabad: Sakhi, a centre for women in distress, and 'Bala Rakshak,' a child protection centre, were inaugurated here on Tuesday. ZP Chairperson Sunitha Mahender Reddy, MP G Ranjit Reddy, MLA Dr M Anand and SP Narayana participated in the inauguration ceremony.

Later, tricycles were distributed to the senior citizens in a function organised at Satya Baharthi Function Hall. The programme was organised as part of 'Samajik Adhikarita Shivir,' in which Aids and Assisted Living Devices were distributed to senior citizens of BPL category under RVY scheme. State manager of Sakhi Girija, women and child welfare officer Jyotsna, ZPTCs, MPPs and others were present on the occasion.
