ZP chief Sunitha calls for development of schools

Vikarabad: ZP chairperson Sunitha Mahender Reddy said funds from MLA and MPLADs should be used for providing infrastructure and amenities in government schools. Chairmen of school management committees (SMCs), along with teachers, should take responsibility of converting schools into recreational centres, she said during a review meeting held along with Chevella MP Ranjith Reddy, officials of education department, panchayat raj engineers and representatives of NGOs.  

Directing the officials to make a list of schools lacking basic facilities, the chairperson said all government schools should have toilets and drinking water facilities. She also emphasised on steps to be taken to achieve 100 per cent pass in the government schools. Sunitha told the officials to focus on students who lag behind in some subjects.

MP Ranjith Reddy suggested that quality education should be imparted in government schools. He assured of fund allocation for the development of schools. He also announced that financial help would be extended to poor meritorious students. ZP CEO Srikanth Reddy, DEO Renuka, PR EE Manohar Rao and others were present.
