CM KCR to inaugurate JBS-MGBS metro stretch today

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao will be inaugurating the metro stretch between Jubilee Bus Station (JBS) and Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station (MGBS) today at 4 pm.

The 11-km metro stretch of Corridor II is a part of 14.78 km JBS-Falaknuma metro corridor. Commuters can breathe a sigh of relief from the traffic which usually takes 40 minutes to travel from JBS to MGBS. However, people can travel by metro in 16 minutes between these major bus stations in the city.

Around 69 km of metro stretch will be brought to availability with the launch of the stretch. The stretch contains nine stations -- Parade Grounds, Secunderabad West, New Gandhi Hospital, Musheerabad, RTC crossroads, Chikkapally, Narayanaguda, Sultan Bazar, MGBS metro station. The officials expect around one lakh patronage on between the line.

The Hyderabad Metro Project is termed as the second largest Metro in the country after Delhi metro.
