Complete nursery works within 2 days: Collector M Prashanthi

Nirmal: District Collector M Prashanthi instructed the mandal development officers to complete nursery-related works before Saturday (February 1), while addressing a review meeting at the Collector's conference hall in Nirmal on Thursday.

The Collector told the mandal development officers to complete the soil filling programme for setting up nurseries as part of Palle Pragathi programme; forest land collection for establishing dumping yard and graveyard; and mandal-wise review of plant conservation and construction of water harvesting pits.

Prashanthi wanted every panchayat to establish nurseries, to fill seeds in polythin bags with seeds, if they fill it properly then only the germination will come fast and it will be used for next Haritha Haram. She also ordered them to complete the programme before Saturday and to take special care of nursery plants. Gram panchayat secretaries of Pembi and Sarangapur mandal villages were told to submit undertaking letter to forest department to acquire forest land for setting up dumping yard and graveyards.

Joint Collector A Bhaskar Rao, District forest Officer Dr Sudhana, District Rural Development Officer Venkateshwarlu, ZP CEO Sudheer, District Panchayat Officer Srinivas, ADO Reddy, MPDOs and others were present.
