Conduct cooperative elections transparently: Collector Musharraf Ali Farooqi

Nirmal: District Collector Musharraf Ali Farooqi instructed the election officers to conduct the cooperative elections transparently in the district, while speaking at a meeting with them at the Collector's conference hall in Nirmal on Wednesday.

The Collector said the cooperative elections, which will be held on February 15, should be conducted without any complaints and transparently. Every issue related to the elections should be recorded in register. The election staff were told to reach the polling stations within the stipulated time.

Joint Collector A Bhaskar Rao said that there are 17 primary agricultural cooperative societies with about 35,065 voters in the district. Nominations will be received on February 6, 7 and 8; nominations verification will be on February 9; nominations withdrawal is on February 10; and polling will be conducted at 15 polling stations from 7 am to 1 pm on February 15.

Counting will be done on the same day after the voting is concluded and results also will be declared on the same day. District Cooperative officer M Satyanarayana and election officers were present.
