Cops rescue pet dog, help child out of depression
Hyderabad: A pet dog went missing in Sultan Bazar area when it came out for a nature call. According to S Laxman, Detective Inspector of Sultan Bazar police station, P Vinod Kumar, a resident of Koti, complained that his pet dog Browni had gone missing on May 23. The dog lost its way to its owner's house and when it was moving on the streets, three students Bharat, Santosh and Aleem took it on the bike and were taking care of it.
When Vinod Kumar's son who is one-and-half-year-old went into depression and was not taking food adequately, their family members complained to the Sultan Bazar police stating that their pet dog went missing. By understanding the condition of the boy, the Sultan Bazar police took it as a challenge to see that boy come out of depression and by registering a case started searching for it. Later after verifying the CCTV footage and sustained efforts by them they traced the dog and handed it over to the boy's family.
They took the three students into the custody and are enquiring them. East Zone DCP M Ramesh congratulated the police team who worked hard for more than two weeks to trace the dog even after their busy schedule.
