Cyberabad CP lauds SCSC services
Hyderabad: Society for Cyberabad Security Council (SCSC) has introduced their sixth She Shuttle connecting Kokapet and Cyber Towers. Cyberabad Police Commissioner, V C Sajjanar has launched the vehicle at Hitech City here on Friday.
SCSC is a joint collaboration of the Cyberabad Police and the IT Corridor in Cyberabad and Rachakonda has been working towards the safety and security of the IT infra, IT/ITES employees and women.
Cyberabad police chief has launched the vehicle and said the services of SCSC especially for the safety and security of the women in IT Corridor are truly commendable.
She Shuttle (free transportation) exclusively for women in peak hours provides lot of ease and comfort travelling and also helps them to be safe from any kind of harassment while commuting, he mentioned.
SCSC in its efforts have initiated and introduced several safety and security programmes especially for the women safety. The Council also organising safety awareness and empowerment programmes for women.
Krishna Yedula, General Secretary of SCSC has said that safety and security of the IT industry being the prime motto of SCSC. The She Shuttle idea was initiated in 2015 and since then most of the women are using these services.
With 5 shuttles on board as on date have been used by 40,000 commuters monthly, he said, adding Kokapet IT Sez is not only getting connected to the Metro at Hitech City but also enables at least 5,000 more women to utilise these services and be safe.
