Mancherial: Deputy Commissioner of Police Rakshita K Murthy on Wednesday inspected the Moist-effected areas, ferry points, Pranahita river basins in Mancherial district and border areas of neighbouring Maharashtra State in view of the coming election.

She visited Ahari, Allampeta under Aheri sub-division of Maharashtra and Arjunagutta, Venchapalli, Vemanapalli, Kotapalli, Mukkidi Gudem, Gajulapeta, Racharla, Godhumapalli and Kallapalli villages and ferry points under Mancherial district.

During the visit, Rakshita interacted with villagers, fishermen and country boat riders and inquired about the Maoist sympathisers and asked them to inform about the Maoists. She instructed the villagers not to support anti-social elements.

The DCP assured that police will ensure safety and security to the candidates contesting in the elections. Later, she visited Nilvai Police Station and inaugurated ignitable garden and rabbit park and planted trees. Chennur Inspector Jagadish, Nilwai Sub-Inspector Bhumesh, Kotapalli Sub-Inspector Ramesh were among those who present.
