Fake cop arrested for cheating people
Hyderabad: The South Zone Task Force sleuths along with Hussaini Alam police on Wednesday arrested a fake police officer Syed Tanveer Hussain Razvi (43) and detected 5 cases against him in the limits of Hyderabad and Cyberabad police commissionerates.
The accused has cheated many people on the pretext of securing jobs to them in the Police Department and also police auctioned vehicles at cheaper price. They seized fake ID cards of the Police department, press and International Human Rights Association, a walkie- talkie, mobile phone and Rs 85,000 cash from the possession of the accused.
The accused is a native of Hyderabad and studied up to class 10. He has five children and to fulfill his family needs changed many jobs. But when he accustomed to lavish life and when he was unable to meet his expenses he thought of earning easy money through wrongful means and planned to pose himself as police officer as his body stature suited to police.
As he had an experience of working as a security guard, he got familiar about the attitude of police personnel. So he acted as a police officer to make easy money and cheated innocent public and collected huge amounts from them.
The accused posed himself as Assistant Sub-Inspector at Task Force and Central Crime Station (CCS) and police constable attached to Central Zone DCP Office, Task Force and collected money varying from Rs 1 lakh to 3 lakh from innocent people and promised them of securing jobs as a constable and home guard in the Police Department.
He also cheated people on the pretext that he would ensure them get vehicles at cheaper rates during the police auction and collected money. To trap the people he used to wear Safari suit regularly and carried walkie talkie and also downloaded police radio app in his mobile phone, which emits sounds similar to a walkie- talkie and police siren.
Even his wife and children knew him as an employee in Police Department. To maintain social status and respect in society the accused introduced himself as a journalist of an Urdu daily and president of International Human Rights Association. The accused was handed over to Hussaini Alam police for further action.
