Ghanpur MLA lands in soup after video of girl student feeding him goes viral

Warangal: Station Ghanpur MLA Thatikonda Rajaiah has landed in yet another controversy after a video clip in which he was being fed by a SSC girl student went viral on social media.

The incident occurred when he was attending the retirement function of a headmaster at the Zilla Parishad High School in Chelpur of Jangaon district on Friday. It was seen in the video clip that Rajaiah was being fed by a girl student in the lunch arranged post retirement function.

There were other guests also sitting beside him. The girl student was dressed in a sari for a cultural programme in the retirement function. It was also evident that the MLA had asked her to feed him an egg. While the MLA is being fed by the girl, there was another boy stood by him holding a water bottle.

The video went viral on social media raising many eyebrows as the MLA was in a fit state to have lunch with his own hands. The parents of the girl student, when contacted, said there was nothing wrong with the incident and refused to comment further.

They urged the media not to publish about the incident. Meanwhile, Rajaiah who condemned negative remarks against him over the incident, said that the girl was like his daughter. On her own, she came forward to feed me.

"I frequently visit this school to give motivational speeches to the students. I have affinity with the students. I also share my school memories with them. The student in the video is a topper in the school. I obliged when she requested me to allow her to feed me. It's unfortunate that the incident was distorted in the social media," Rajaiah said.
