Governor E S L Narasimhan holds closed-door meeting with KCR, Jagan

Hyderabad: Ahead of hosting Iftar party at his official residence here at Raj Bhavan on Saturday, Governor E S L Narasimhan held an hour-long closed-door meeting with Telangana State and AP Chief Ministers K Chandrashekar Rao and Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

The iftar party was also attended by Telangana Home Minister Mohammad Mahmood Ali, Panchayat Raj Minister E Dayakar Rao and Roads and Buildings Minister V Prashant Reddy and several prominent Muslim leaders.

Sources said that the Governor and the two Chief Ministers discussed the long pending issues pertaining to division of assets and employees.

KCR already announced his readiness to resolve the water sharing disputes between the two States in an amicable manner. It was the first meeting between Governor and two Telugu States Chief Minister after Jagan Mohan Reddy was sworn in as Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh on Thursday.

Leaders said t the Chief Ministers sought the Governor's help in resolving the pending issues with the Centre, particularly allocation of funds and the clearance of pending projects mainly the establishment of Steel plants as promised in the AP Reorganisation Act.
