Karimnagar: The government must extend financial help to all those farmers, who lost their crops due to the recent heavy rains in the district, Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) official spokesperson Komatireddy Narendar Reddy demanded at a press meet at R&B Guest House here on Saturday.

Reminding Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao's statement that bank officials will give fresh loans to farmers if they clear their earlier loans, Narendar Reddy suggested the government to pay the crop loan amount directly to the banks instead of handing over to farmers. This will prevent the bankers from exerting pressure on farmers.

Reddy demanded that the government should take up repairing works of roads and drainages that were damaged due to heavy flow of rainwater and should make elaborate arrangements for the celebrations of Bathukamma festival. He further alleged that irregularities took place in Smart City tenders and demanded to cancel the earlier tenders and to call for new tenders for the project.

TPCC official spokesperson Narendar Reddy said the Congress will win Huzurnagar Assembly elections with bumper majority. The people are ready to teach the TRS government a fitting lesson as the TRS deceived the people with false promises.

Congress leaders Samad Khan, D Madhu, Anjan Kumar, U Ravi, Md Taj, Vilas Reddy and Beeraiah were present along with others.
