Healthy women, healthy nation in Manakondur
Manakondur (Karimnagar): Satavahana Urban Development Authority (SUDA) Chairman GV Ramakrishna Rao said that the KCR government is giving topmost prominence to women health.
A free health camp was organised by Vikas Tarangini Trust of Jeeyar Swamy and Women and Child Welfare Development Department at Manakondur on Sunday.
Speaking on the occasion, GV Ramakrishna Rao said due to lack of awareness regarding health issues, many women are prone to major health risks. The State government decided to prepare health profile for all citizens.
Diseases like cancer are becoming more common and if identified earlier many lives could be saved. Every person needs to go for health check-up once in a year. Vikas Tarangini zonal in-charge Prabhakar Rao said that focus on women health keeps the family safe.
As many as 195 women registered and undergone health check-up on the day. DWO Sarada, CDPO Sabita, Vikas Tarangini secretary Kishan, Ashok Rao, district coordinator Ramadevi, Acdpo Saraswati, medical officer Sandhya, supervisors Indira, Vijaya, Angawadi teachers and others participated.
