Hyderabad: To thank the people of Huzurnagar constituency for electing TRS candidate in the byelection, Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would be addressing a thanksgiving public meeting in Huzurnagar on Saturday.
This was announced by Chief Minister KCR during a press conference here at the Telangana Bhavan after the results of Huzurnagar byelections were announced on Thursday.
Thanking the people of Huzurnagar for electing TRS candidate, the Chief Minister said that the mandate was unique as the voters calculatedly voted the party seeing the functioning of the government during the last
one year. The Chief Minister said he could not address public meeting before the elections because of the bad weather. "I will visit Huzurnagar the day after tomorrow and there will be a thanksgiving meeting to the people.
The government will fulfil the aspirations of the people of the constituency. The opposition parties made many allegations, spread misinformation against the government and indulged in individual attacks but people reposed faith in the government and gave a majority of over 43,000 votes," said KCR.
The CM took potshots at the opposition parties stating that it was not good for them only to criticise the government.
"Ours is a new state and the reconstruction process was going on in the State. It is not good to have propaganda against the government. They (opposition) have no clarity on which issue should be taken up.
People will not tolerate if the leaders think they can talk whatever they want," said KCR. There should be opposition, but it should be constructive one, he added.
The Chief Minister asked his party activists to be humble and work with humility. Replying to a question, the Chief Minister said that the party would go for municipal elections at the earliest.
The municipalities would be getting state grant on the lines of Central grant, he said adding the notification would be coming in a couple of days and elections would be completed in November.
