Hyderabad: 54 link roads to reduce traffic jams in city said Talasani Srinivas Yadav
Hyderabad: State Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav said on Friday that link roads would be constructed in the city to avoid traffic jams and inconvenience. He inspected works of roads at his Sanathnagar segment in the city along with Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan, Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department (MA&UD) Arvind Kumar, GHMC Commissioner Lokesh Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minster said that since the Fatehnagar bridge was very narrow, it was proposed to widen it into 4 lane road from 2 lanes. He also said that as per the instructions of the Minister for MA&UD K Taraka Rama Rao, GHMC was constructing 54 link roads in the city and the works were commenced on war footing basis during the ongoing lockdown period.
Similarly, for easy flow of traffic coming from Sanathnagar, Balanagar, Jeedimetla X roads, the government is proposing to extend the width of Fatehnagar flyover, apart from laying 100 feet width road from Balanagar Industrial Area to Jeedimetla Industrial Area with Railway under bridge at railway track, he added. He said that the works were being undertaken in coordination between, HRDCL, GHMC, Town planning, TSIIC and Railway officials.
