Hyderabad: All Wakf Board records digitised: Md Saleem

Nampally: The TS Wakf Board on Tuesday informed that in compliance with the instructions of Central Wakf Council (CWC), it has achieved 100 per cent digitization of wakf properties. Further the computerisation of Wakf records and strengthening of State Wakf Board, which had initiated by Central government under the 'Quami Tarraqiyati Scheme' was completed in first and second phases respectively and the remaining work was under progress.

Board chairman Mohammed Saleem conducted a board meeting along with the members of the CWC and TS Wakf Board at TSWB office in Haj House Nampally on Tuesday. The members of Central Wakf Council expressed satisfaction over the functioning of the Board. CWC members Noushad, Munawari Begum, Darkhasha Begum, Haneef Ali, TSWB CEO Mohammed Qasim and member Anwar Baig were present.

During meeting, they deliberated on protecting the Wakf properties and to remove the encroachment and also development of Wakf properties.

Later briefing the media, Saleem said that the CWC would be providing loans without interest for development of Wakf properties for constriction of schools and hospitals. He cautioned that if any mismanagement of funds was found in the Wakf Board, action would be taken against the officials concerned.

Earlier, Saleem briefed the visiting dignitaries about the functioning of the TSWB and steps taken for the protection of Wakf properties such official communications to police and revenue department.
