In a letter to Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao on Monday, the State BJP president Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced an economic stimulus package for the betterment of the country and the states with a foresight.
However, he asked the TRS chief as to how long he would mislead people of the State with his political rhetoric to cover up the state government's shortcomings by blaming the Centre. He further asked whether the TRS chief's demand asking the Centre to directly provide cash to the states was meant to fill his own coffers in the name of development works?
Sanjay Kumar dismissed the criticism of KCR against the reformed linked enhancement of FRBM limits and asked the chief minister spell out his justification in linking the regulation of cultivation of crops to extending financial assistance under the Rythu Bandhu Scheme (RBS).
Further, he asked whether the TRS chief wanted to continue the scheme as it is not being implemented with timely crediting of funds into the farmers' accounts like in the case of the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (KSNY).
The BJP state chief claimed that the Centre has released to Telangana Rs 224 crore under NDRF, Rs 216 crore for medical equipment and Rs 982 crore against the first phase of devolution funds. He asked to disclose the details to the people of the state as to how those funds were spent?
The Karimnagar MP said that the PM had released Rs 3,100 crore for the manufacturing of ventilators, development of Covid vaccine and for the migrant labourers from the PM CARES.
And, demanded the CM to release a whitepaper the funds received to the Chief Minister's Relief Funds (CMRF) and its expenditure. Also, whether it has spent disaster relief funds released by the Centre on migrant workers from some other sources.
