Hyderabad: BSE, BIE wait till year-end for fee payment

Hyderabad: Lack of innovation and optimum utilisation of the existing technologies exposes the shortcomings in the State Education Department (SED) coping up with emergency situations.

It may be mentioned here that the State government has declared holidays to the schools till March 31 as part of the preventive measures to contain the spread of the Coronavirus.

However, several schools issued notices for running classes in violation of the government orders, argue that students came to their schools as they were allotted as examination centre to them. 'The students wanted to inspect the examination centre allotted to them ahead of the SSC examinations to begin on March 19.'

Secondly, speaking to The Hans India, a senior official of private school management said that the school has reviewed SCC hall tickets on Saturday and they have to distribute the same to the students. Students and their parents are coming to the schools to collect their hall tickets. That apart, the State government had declared holidays with immediate effect.

Following this, the students and their parents are worried and coming to the school to collect the textbooks and notebooks left at the school by their wards. "The students want to collect the textbooks and notebooks to prepare for the examinations," he clarified.

Also, the parents are coming to the schools as they have to clear the existing dues of their wards. Failing which, they fear that schools might not allow the students to appear for the examinations.

All this boils down to exposing how the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) and the State Education Department (SED) are not able to use the existing technologies available to them.

For example, both the Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) and BSE have all necessary details of the students, including their photographs and Aadhar unique identification numbers collected at the time of the admissions itself.
