Hyderabad: Congress bats for new revenue law

Hyderabad: Former Minister and senior Congress leader DK Samarasimha Reddy on Wednesday felt that the complete change in existing Revenue laws would help a lot the people of the state. He said that the State had several revenue laws and urged the State government to consider about bringing in new law by taking into consideration the existing ones.

Addressing media persons along with TPCC general secretary Vinod Reddy, he said that he was the chairman of the related committee when the Panchayat Raj Act was brought in the State in the past. He said that they had gone to the public and observed its impact on their lives. He also said that they held an all-party meeting, took the suggestions of all the leaders of the State. He alleged that the present Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao was behaving as if he was aware of everything in the State. He told the Chief Minister that the people of the State had elected TRS to benefit them and added that the Act to be brought should be helpful to the people. He demanded the Chief Minister to constitute a cabinet sub- committee and take recommendations from it.
