Hyderabad: Final rites of ex-Janashakti leader performed
Hyderabad: Former Janashakti leader Chandranna (75) died on late Thursday night while undergoing treatment in a hospital in Vidyanagar. According to his family members, he was undergoing treatment for diabetes and respiratory problems since long time.
The final rites were completed on Friday at Ramnagar crematorium amidst his relatives, friends and followers. Chandranna represented Janashakti in the talks held by the then Chief Minister of United Andhra Pradesh Dr YS Rajasekhara Reddy government's direct peace talks with Maoists and Janashakti leaders in 2004.
Chandranna is a native of Tangutur village of Yadadri-Bhongir district. He worked as an ECIL employee and later joined Janashakti and led many agitations demanding justice for beedi workers and Singareni employees.
