Hyderabad: Mayor B Rammohan on Saturday assured Action on illegal constructions on OU lands
Hyderabad: Mayor B Rammohan on Saturday assured the Osmania University authorities of taking action on the illegal constructions on the University lands.
The Osmania University Registrar Prof Gopal Reddy, Vice Chancellor's OSD Prof T Krishna Rao met mayor and gave a representation to the mayor on the 'illegal constructions' in the campus. University officials urged the mayor not to allow any construction activity in the premises. The University registrar said that there was a conflict between the University and Tulasi Cooperative Housing Society in DD Colony on a land measuring 4,800 sq yards. The Supreme Court report gave order in favour of the society. The society after getting the layout sold plots to 13 people and the purchasers have constructed houses and started living in those lands. One plot was allocated to park.
The registrar alleged that as many as nine members created fake documents in the name of society, prepared sale deeds and were trying to encroach 3,296 sq yards of land. They have applied for building permission from the GHMC. The mayor asked the GHMC Commissioner to take action in this regard.
