Hyderabad: Plea to relocate dump yard
Patancheru: District president of INTUC Narsimha Reddy on Monday demanded shifting of dump yard located near an industry in the local industrial estate so as to protect the environment.
He was submitting a memorandum to the TSIIC manager. Speaking later, Reddy alleged that domestic, commercial and business waste generated by Patancheru and RC Puram GHMCs was being dumped by hundreds of vehicles in the vacant land in IDA phase-II on the town outskirts, adjacent to Asian Paints industry's compound wall.
The dumping is generating foul smell and likely to pollute the Shakshi Cheruvu. This, he pointed, is likely to impact the health of hundreds of industrial workers. The dumping in the context of the impact in the State of Coronavirus was causing severe anxiety among both people and workers. Reddy urged the government to immediately respond and shift the dump yard. Several workers accompanied him during the presentation of memorandum.
