Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy on Friday said that Pothireddypadu expansion issue has exposed the unethical nexus between Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and Andhra Pradesh CM YS Jaganmohan Reddy. Addressing the media along with PCC vice president Mallu Ravi, he said that though AP CM Jagan announced in the State Assembly in December last year that they would expand PRP head regulator, Telangana CM Chandrashekar Rao hasn't responded till now.

He said that the subcommittee being appointed by the Krishna River Management Board has stated that the AP government used about 79,000 cusecs of water last year. He wanted to know as to whether TS CM Chandrashekar Rao has knowledge of it. He said that the Chief Minister has responded to his letter being sent on May 5 and held a meeting on PRP issue.

He said that Bima, Nettempadu and Kaluwakurthy projects did not have distribution system and they would be deprived of water with PRP expansion. He alleged Telangana has not been using even half of the allocated water in Krishna River. He wondered whether Telangana has gifted lift of one TMC of water to AP. Mallu Ravi said that the Ministers are afraid of Chief Minister and unable to question his inefficiency.

He alleged that the TRS government was unable to complete even one project being taken up under Jala Yagnam scheme.
