Hyderabad: School children meet Mayor Bonthu Rammohan in Basheerbagh
Basheerbagh: Hyderabad Mayor Bonthu Rammohan on Wednesday advised the class IV students of the Hyderabad Public school (HPS) to observe the segregation of garbage and conserve drinking water in their houses on which hundreds of crores were being spent under the Mission Bhageeratha scheme. He called for judicial use of water, without wasting it, while urging the students to counsel their parents.
Interacting with the students, who called on him in his office, Rammohan stated that the GHMC was devoting special attention to make Hyderabad a Swachh city with the cooperation of the State government.
He maintained that the Swachh programmes would be successful only if people, including students, cooperate, while advising them to become aware of government works.
Among those who met the Mayor included HPS coordinator Nalini Nair and Gayathri.
