Hyderabad: Telangana employees JAC demands full salary for May
Hyderabad: Joint Action Committee of Telangana employees, gazetted officers, teachers and pensioners on Friday demanded the State government to issue orders for full salary payment to all employees and pensioners in May.
The committee led by its Chairman, K Ravinder Reddy called on Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar at the latter's office in the Secretariat and submitted a memorandum to the official requesting him to keep the orders on the deferment of payments in abeyance from this month.
The government employees were being paid half salary since March in view of the steep fall of revenues in lockdown period.
The committee brought to the notice of Chief Secretary that due to deferment of the payments, officials were facing financial challenges, mainly during the Ramzan festival.
The Committee members said that Somesh Kumar responded positively to pay full salaries and a decision will be taken soon.
